A Tribute from Marlow Opportunities Playgroup We were fortunate to have gentle Harry at MOP for a year before he moved onto Chiltern Wood School. Memories of Harry include his love of singing time – particularly Incy Wincy Spider and Wind the Bobbin up. As he became more confident he would join in clapping his hands and doing some of the actions. He had no worries about getting messy during texture play! Harry would indicate what he wanted by pointing and was quickly able to follow the visual timetable We were lucky enough to see Harry’s mobility progress from using his walker to get around to walking holding an adult’s hand then when he felt confident enough he started to take his first independent steps. A great achievement Harry! Harry was always a quiet happy boy who enjoyed his time at playgroup. He loved to watch the other more boisterous children in their play. Gurjeet, his key person, remembers how much he enjoyed looking at photos of his family, smiling all the time. She recounted to Grandma Rosie how Harry had matched the photos of his Grandpa Brian – and Rose was delighted although pointed out it was her who fed and cared for Harry when he was at their house! The whole Stock and Cox family were and still are very supportive of our playgroup for which we shall always be grateful. All our thoughts and sympathy are with you all at this very sad time Rest in peace Handsome Harry
